Two large panels meet face to face, covering the walls of the Chill out space. On a first 2m wide and 1m50 high cardboard structure, tropical birds are hidden in colorful foliage entirely made of paper.
This structure is laid on a second one, a canvas of 3m high and 4m wide (made with a frame of cleats and a large white fabric) entirely stencilled with similar colors and floral patterns.
Stencilled and paper cut leaves, feathers, flowers and birds.
Benches and tables from the past year have been recylced and stencilled, in order to echoe to the wall structures.
Old school lettering on wooden panels as external signage. Inside the Chill out, the bar called by the volunteers the "barbiche" is indicated by two ibis escaped from the paintings.
The catering is the place where hundreds of volunteers gather to eat.
As the past year, we chose to make a suspension in the center of the space. Still on the theme of nature, this 3.50m diameter installation evokes a bouquet of flowers, thanks to large roses made of paper.
Based on on the principle of recycling and DIY,
we wanted to build a completely different imagination for
the volunteer spaces of the Reggae Sun Ska festival of 2016.
The same goal in mind as the previous year :
create friendly spaces while avoiding the "green, yellow, red" cliché of the reggae universe.
